Happy trails to you

With the weather getting much warmer we headed out to Washington on the Brazos State Park yesterday.  It's better to go before it gets too hot and when the wildflowers are in season.

Zoe enjoyed every bit of it.  We were accompanied by my parents and their dog, Cassie.

Of course Zoe paid no mind to the "no swimming" sign.  She really does have a water addiction.  No worries though, I did make her get out after snapping this photo.

We really couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.  It was just breathtaking!

She was quite curious about all the Bluebonnets, thankfully she didn't try to eat them.  BOL!

Getting her to sit still for a photo was nearly impossible so most of my photos ended up being "butt shots."  Oy!

I must say that I am very proud of how well Zoe did walking these trails off leash, even with lots of people around.  She would walk a little ahead of us but turn around to make sure we were still within a good distance of her.  I can't wait to go back next year.

What better to enjoy one's freedom to graze in a bed of beautiful Bluebonnets.

Good for you, Zoe.

Hi Y'all!

What a beautiful place!

I'm sure that sign "no swimming" was not referring to us pawed critters!

Y'all come back now,

What a gorgeous place! No swimming??? They don't really mean it, do they?

Well, its a State Park so yeah they do mean it. But other people that were walking the trail saw her get in and they didn't seem to mind. They were mostly just telling me how much fun she was having and that she was a good looking dog. :)

Welcome

Hi, I'm Alison and I have an 1 year old black lab mix named Zoe. She was found wandering around by herself near a highway at just 5 weeks old. While her story begins sad, she has had nothing short of a spoiled, happy and healthy life since coming home with me and my boyfriend.
